Going to Jersey…

It's official, (ok, it's nowhere near official), I will be going to be spending my 3rd year doing core rotations in New Jersey at St. Barnabas and Newark Beth Israel hospitals. This is just my preliminary placement — it can (and in the past, has) changed at the last minute. Just FYI, and something for you to read while I work on getting time to put up that lengthy post detailing my activities over the last week.

Congratulations! I know it’s exciting moving on to a new part of the process.

Keep us at St. Vincent’s in mind when you are choosing 4th year rotations. We have a couple current residents from St. George’s.

Carsten Says:

Well, it would be kinda cool to go from St. Vincents to St. Vincent’s, and Florida is not such a bad place. :-)

I’ll definitely keep you guys in mind, but I think I am booking myself up with as many EM rotations as possible. :-)

Congratulations! I am glad that this is too far away from CPHM ambulance for you to take any calls while you are a student.
It was great to have you home last week!

Carsten Says:

Well, it’s 3.5-4 hours and a $40-60 train ticket each way. (I hadn’t looked this up until you mentioned it - so it’s all your fault.) So if I get weekends off, I could see myself coming home once or twice. :-P

And it was good to be home too! :-)

Glad to hear you’ll be so much closer; even if we have to share you with CLHM ambulance, sometimes.
Was great to have you home.
Thanbks again for the website. The kids are catching on. I need to practice, though

Carsten Says:

Smiley abuse! :-P

Anyways, it was good to be home, and sorry you have to share, but I am just mentally sick.

And you’re welcome for the website, you seem to be getting the hang of it…

congrats! hopefully that’s somewhere where you wanted to be:-) and what website is this mom speaks of?

Carsten Says:

Well, 3rd choice, but still on my list of requests. I guess you can’t go wrong with free parking and free meals. :-) And I made a quick GAPP website for Mom — ask her for the address, as I don’t want to link it (supposed to be semi-private.)
