And the award for the most appropriate acronym goes to: (Drumroll)

Diarrhea of Obscure Origin = DOO

:roll: Who thinks up these things?

Anyways, I finished the Pharm Midterm 1 yesterday. Hopefully it went alright. As you can tell, I am now studying for the Pathophysiology exam (and GI to be exact) on Monday… Close to 700 pages of notes to memorize and/or synthesize. Yippee!

And by the way, I never made the diagnosis of DOO. Most of the time it is viral, staph. food poisoning and rarely Salmonella, Shigella,E.coli etc.
Just try to avoid any of the above.Take care,Papa

I remember someone once writing a ‘pussy discharge’ in a SOAP note, and the nurse without thinking set up for a pelvic.

The discharge was from a boil on the neck.

Ha ha, that’s great. Maybe pus-like discharge would have been less ambiguous. :lol:
