Back Home

Wow it's been a while. So I made it back home safely yesterday. And I have to go to work at the hospital today. Updates about what I've been doing the last week or so soon!

Do you know if SGU has any plans to help its students if Federal funding is cut? I hope it all works out.

Carsten Says:

Yeah I heard… SGU and its students have been lobbying various Congressional interests… So far it’s only one backwards Senator from Alabama. (No suprise.)

Not that the $18,500/yr in Federal Staffords is that much in comparision to total tuition, but at 4% interest, it certainly is better than the private loans at 7% interest.

More isolationist thinking. When will our lawmakers, who proably don’t know where any of these schools are located, realize that they world is now global and you can’t only work within the continental US and expect to remain a world power. All great civilizations have gone dwn because they wouldn’t change. Is our civilization next? We are suppose to learn from history…..why don’t we, or should I they?

Carsten Says:

Sorry I had computer difficulties (motherboard and HDD failure) that I needed to send my computer away for repairs, and then I was on vacation skiing.

I am back online now though. :-)
