Clearwater drug storage violated federal laws

Maybe this is why it took my ambulance corps years to get a license to carry controlled substances (and only after triple locking them in state-of-the-art computer controlled safes): "Clearwater Fire Rescue apparently kept its controlled substances in Tupperware."

We used to keep our controls in an altoids tin. That is until we got RSI drugs now they are under lock and key. B-
Ooh, RSI drugs, I am jealous. We probably won’t get them because the people to the north of us keep killing people. (i.e. spending 90 minutes on-scene waiting for RSI when the hospital is 5 minutes away, or RSI’ing every COPD’er for no apparent reason…)
Ah yes…We have those jackasses here too. In fact I got bitched at for not RSIing a CHFer in a church that was literally within walking distance to the hospital. two blocks..
But when it is done right on the right pt, it makes all the diffrence.

PS I will Add although when the controls were kept in an altoid tin, they stayed with the crew cheif or locked away in a special “Hidden” compartment in our drug box.
