It's because of dumb-asses like these that highly trained and highly skilled EMS providers will never be viewed as more than taxi, oops I mean ambulance, drivers: [1] Crew discouraged hospital trip, wife says. Man waited 16 hours before 2nd call to 911 — died the next day. I mean the pre-hospital standard of care for chest pain is a 12-lead EKG (among other things), which could have possibly picked up the heart attack that the family claims the patient had… ([2] This study reports 100% sensitivity if just 5 of the 12 leads are used.) Haven't they heard of 12-leads in San Francisco?
