Done, Yet 10 More Weeks To Go
Tuesday, May 10th, 2005 at 11:26 pm
Sorry all, for not posting much recently. (All two days.) I have just finished the week-long final exam period for the major Term 2 classes, including Physiology, Immunology, and Neuroscience. I am happy to report I passed all of them,
with final grades to be reported after some statistical manipulations.
I am here for another 9 weeks of classes (but actually on the island for another 10 weeks because of my RA position.) Not that I am counting the days or anything.
The rest of the time will be spent with "mini-courses" finishing Terms 2 and 3, including Genetics, Parasitology, Ethics, Behavioral Sciences, Jurisprudence, and Epidemiology/Statistics. Should be a fun time, as we will be having final exams every other week.
I took the opportunity tonight to relax after finals week by getting stuck with needles. That's right, it was EMC's Phlebotomy workshop, where we teach medical students the proper method of collecting blood. Usually I help teach the workshop, which means I don't get stuck, but I volunteered for some advanced IV practice when no one else would. Don't ask me why. New pictures will be up soon, as well as an alleged blackmail video of me inserting an IV in a non-OSHA compliant fashion.
Well, it's time for bed, since I actually have to get up for 8 AM class tomorrow.

what’s the non-OSHA compliant fashion?
Well, the video hasn’t been uploaded yet, (I didn’t take it) but let’s just say I lacked full body substance isolation precautions…
