Scuba Diving Page Updated

Oh, and I forgot to mention, this "vacation" I also manged to update my Scuba Diving page. It now includes a dynamically generated summary of all my dives, as well as featuring a complete dive log of every dive I've ever done. The dive log itself has info on dates, places, etc right now, and will include pictures of various underwater species that I have seen on each dive as I get more time to update it. (Probably not for a while.) :-)

Hey, sounds like you had a nice vacation! A question - mom and pap were saying that the diving they experienced so far on their trip wasn´t as good as what they had seen with us…how is it in Grenada? What place that I´ve been to does it compare with, as far as fish life, corals, visibility, etc.?

Carsten Says:

Eh, it’s not the best, and not the worst… :-)

Fish life can vary - very abundant at some dive sites, and sparser at others. Normal tropical fish assortment. Also nurse sharks, stingrays, eagle rays, an octupus and a couple turtles.

There are sites with nice and colorful hard and soft coral. The hurricane didn’t damage them too much, but there are some sites with fields of broken coral.

Visibility is so-so - averages around 50-100ft.

But it’s nice and warm, and most dives are done as drift dives, so no work! :-)

But if you haven’t scuba’ed in a while, it would definately be worth it to come down and visit! :-)

sonja Says:

so wait, there´s only one octupus?

Carsten Says:

That’s all I’ve seen so far… (on a night dive) I am sure there are more… :-)
