Gmail Invites

Well, I promised myself I wouldn't, but here I am doing it. Google must be getting ready to open its Gmail service to the general public soon… I just got 50 invites in my account. So the first 50 poor schlobs unfortunate few that don't have a Gmail account yet that leave a comment on this post will have their wish granted.

Hi Bud! I just wanted to drop a short note in hopes that I am one of the 50 “schlobs” lucky enough to get this Gmail invite. I hope you send one my way. I wish you all the best in you endeavors and much success in the future.

sonja Says:

hey, i´ll take one…even though i´m still not exactly sure what it is or the benefits..and what happens when google opens it to the public?

Carsten Says:

See here for benefits.

When Gmail goes public, you will no longer need an invitation from someone already using the service to sign up.

And, thanks :-)

Carsten Says:

Actually, I have two. Shhh!

I like it - it’s the best free email service out there - better than Yahoo, and much better than Hotmail.

I’ll send you an invite so you can try it out for yourself.

What is it, can I get one? Should I get one? If yes, tell me how!

Carsten Says:

Its another free Web email service, like Yahoo Mail or Hotmail, but better. You can read about it here. Question is: do you want another email address? Let me know, and I can send you an invitation to create an account.

Rose Says:

Please send me the link. I am interested in gmail.
Thanks
Rose

I’ve heard about it, read about it, seen screen shots of it, found tools to treat it as off-site storage via FTP, but never had one of my own! If you’re offering I’d greatly appreciate!

Thank-you!

Chris
