Weekend Update

As the weekend trip to Carriacou was cancelled, I ended up going to a barbeque on Grand Anse Beach with some friends on Friday night. Met some nice new people as well, and had a few beers. Actually more than a few, but I got a ride back, so it was ok :-) Until I had to check people in, and gave them the key to the wrong room where someone was already living…. Ooops

Saturday was spent on duty, checking people in, opening storage, etc. as the other RA was out for the day.

Sunday was my day off, and I spent it guess where? Scuba diving, of course! :-) The first dive was the Bianca C… and even though it was the 3rd time I had done that dive, it was still cool - saw new stuff. Just found this interesting web page about the ship's history. The second dive was Shark Reef… visability was a bit less than normal due to strong surf/surge, however I still managed to spot two baby and one large (6′) nurse sharks, in addition to various other moray eels, reef fish, lobsters, etc.

After scuba diving, I went to go check my campus mailbox, and my registration packet which was supposed to be there wasn't. Luckily there was a worker in the mailroom (unheard of on a Sunday), and he had my packet in a box with about 100 others. It's like they forgot I had a mailbox because I went on a leave of abscence? Which is wierd because they have been shipping stuff to my house these past three months… Anyways, I was off to officially register for my classes. I guess I should feel lucky that I only spent an hour in line (some reported 2-hour waits.) The Registrar, in all its infinite wisdom, scheduled all terms to register in the same 4 hour block. (That's about 1400 students…) Unless of course you were a vet student, and then you could skip to the head of the line and be done in 10 minutes…

Sunday night brought organization and getting ready for classes. All the textbooks on the bookshelf, and binders in the bookbag in preparation for tomorrow's packets of notes. Strange, but I am almost looking forward to going back to class, like it's the first day of kindergarten or something. I am sure that will pass tomorrow. :-)

Mom Says:

no, in reference that he stood behind and did check-ins!

Mom Says:

Oh, I can just imagine you getting excited, as you did when you were little…yes you were little, for a tiny while.

Sonja Says:
