Arrived

So I finally arrived in Grenada… despite the weather and incompetence. My original flight was delayed 2 and 1/2 hours… about 30 minutes of this was due to the weather and clearing the runway. The other 2 hours was due to USAirways' lack of staff, and their incompetence. They only had 1 guy on duty to load the bags, and he was loading planes one at a time. Then the deicer guy shot fluid into the generator
… This shut down electricity to the plane for a while. Finally getting another source of power, the pilot was able to start the engines. This delay caused me to miss all my connecting flights, get re-routed through 5 different airports, and have to stay overnight in Barbados…. Needless to say, my luggage didn't arrive with me… I still have no idea where it is.
wI finally arrived in Grenada about an hour before the start of RA orientation. Spent the day listening to various officials, and touring various offices on campus. (in the rain — evidently the rainy season hasn't ended yet.)
Now I am sitting guard by one of the rooms used for storage after Hurricane Ivan, making sure people only bring out what is theirs. Still to do tonight: 1) Dinner 2) Buy phone card to call parents 3) Buy laundry detergent to wash clothes left on Grenada so I have something to wear tomorrow.

Finally got through to someone at AA.
They are tracing suitcases. Hopefully we will know more tomorrow.
Did you ever arrive on Grenada with your luggage?
