ALBANY — An unidentified St. Peter's Hospital employee was attacked outside the facility at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.
Averill Park resident Jennie C. Hodge was charged with second-degree attempted robbery, a felony, after she allegedly bit the employee and tried to steal her "fanny pack," court records show.
Two emergency medical technicians returning to the hospital said they ran toward the employee, who was screaming for help.
"Basically, I get behind the girl and pull her off," said Brian Pollock, 22, the Mohawk Ambulance Service emergency medical technician who tackled the woman with the help of George O'Connor, his partner.
Hodge, 30, of 19 Devoe Road, was ordered held in the county jail without bail after arraignment. Judge William A. Carter set a preliminary hearing for Wednesday.
