Good Day

So it was a good day today… made it through without falling asleep 
Spent the morning and afternoon with the family on the lake - swimming, tubing, reading, and just plain relaxing… Been a while since I've done that, it felt good. Then tonight went out with a bunch of the guys (and a girl or two) from the ambulance…. One is actually back from serving in the Army in Germany for a week, so it was good to see him. Had some alcohol, which is a rare luxury I afforded myself (every else there was paid staff, so they didn't have to be worrying about being a volly on duty 24/7.) Now the pager is going off for a multi-car accident on the interstate, tractor trailer involved, car pinned under tractor trailer, extrication required.
I just should have shut the pager off, and relieved myself of the guilt. :-/
Update: Just getting better - up to 4th call now…
