About Me
Hi, my name is Carsten.
I am in my third year of medical school at St. George's University, doing my clerkships in a Brooklyn, NY hospital. Extracurricular activities include: Emergency Medicine Club, American Medical Student Association and Surgery Club, as well as frequent scuba diving, well at least before I got Decompression Sickness (the Bends).
I graduated from the University of Rochester, majoring in Biology and minoring in Health and Society, as well as German. Prior to that, I attended Shenendehowa High School.
Previous employment has included an Information Associate (Secretary) and a Patient Care Associate (formerly Multi-Skilled Patient Care Technician - I don't know what I did to loose all those skills that I still perform…) at a local hospital. I also am a quite active volunteer Emergency Medical Technician for a local ambulance corps.
Future aspirations include 1) finishing medical school, and 2) a career in Emergency Medicine or Trauma Surgery, I haven't decided yet!
